Continental Golf Club is Flagstaff’s only 18 hole public golf course. The challenging 18-hole Championship Course can be enjoyed by every level of golfer. For 2015 the Golf Department has made many great upgrades in the golf operation. The CCC has hired OB Sports as a golf consulting company to support the operation and take CGC golf to the next level. One of the first changes that was made, was a name change. The golf department at Continental Country Club will now be called Continental Golf Club. This change was made to help golfers understand that the Continental Country Club is not a private course and is open to all. The golf shop is open daily from 7 AM to 6 PM. The Golf Shop received a new look in the early spring. A fresh coat of paint, new displays and great merchandise now adorns the shop. The tennis and Pickleball players will be able to pick up supplies for their sports in the golf shop. Swimmers and spectators can also find supplies that will fit their needs too. With the help of the OB Sports Merchandiser this golf shop will be filled with the most desired products. The Driving Range also made some new changes in 2015. The club purchased a ball machine that dispenses driving range balls in two sizes of buckets. A large bucket of balls is $11 and a small bucket of balls is $7. To purchase the balls directly on the range you may use your credit card. Discounted balls will be available in the golf shop when purchased in quantity. The driving range will be staying open later and will host an abundance of fun activities. Stay tuned on our email blasts and Facebook page for weekly specials. The driving range is now open daily from 8 AM to 7 PM. Mondays the Driving Range will open at 9:00 AM for golf maintenance. AN EXTRAORDINARY COURSE WORTHY OF ITS EXTRAORDINARY SETTING Designed by Jay Morrish, the golf course at Pine Canyon offers challenging play, picturesque mountain scenery, impeccable greens and broad fairways. During development, Morrish took full advantage of the sweeping panoramic views and dynamic topography resulting in frequent elevation changes among towering Ponderosa pines. Golfers encounter much more water than they might anticipate for a mountain course, with numerous ponds and trout-stocked lakes strategically placed across the rolling fairways. Whether a seasoned golfer or an occasional competitor, there is a little bit of heaven at every hole. Forrest Highlands http://www.fhgc.com/recreation/golf/ Forrest Highlands has two separate courses to choose from. Forrest Highlands Canyon Golf Course Walls of Ponderosa Pines frame this perfectly-composed experience at the Canyon Golf Course. Created in 1986 by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, the Forest Highlands Canyon Course is an exercise in breathtaking beauty and challenging sport. It has been ranked among the top 100 courses in the world by Golf Magazine, and rated by Golf Digest as the #1 private golf course in Arizona. The beautiful par-71 course measures 7,001 yards from the championship tees and is designed to be both challenging and satisfying for golf enthusiasts and social players alike. It offers seven sets of tees for golfers of all skill levels. Membership to both courses is included in the value of your home or homesite. Additional amenities include the Canyon Clubhouse, a large practice facility, pro shop, tennis courts, swimming pool, and an 18-hole putting course. Forrest Canyon Meadow Golf Course Breathtaking beauty in the Forest Highlands Meadow Golf Course. Designed by Tom Weiskopf, the Meadow Course opened at Forest Highlands in 1999. Unlike its hilly Canyon cousin, the Meadow Course is a more traditional, park-like walking course, rated #8 by Golf Digest. Set in a mountain meadow, the course encompasses lakes, wildflowers, and scenic wetlands. Membership to both courses is included in the value of your home or homesite. Additional amenities include the Meadow Clubhouse, a large practice facility, a pro shop, a fitness center, pools, and a recreation center. Timeberline Short 9 http://timberlineshortnine.com/about/ The golf course is a 9 hole, par 3. It is a short course that is fun for everyone. Both beginners and expert golfers looking to work on their short game will enjoy themselves. We provide affordable golf for all ages and abilities. Timberline Short Nine is a Flagstaff family-owned business dedicated to promoting a love of fun in the outdoors.
